Upon arrival in Dharamsala, we are met by our local guides and transfer to a Hotel in Dharamsala
After breakfast at Hotel. We go to local sightseen Tsuglaghang Complex The Tsuglagkhang Complex is the residence of His Holiness, The Dalai Lama. It is a sacred place that holds a number of small monasteries and stupas. It also holds a 3 meter tall bronze statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha. Tibetan Library The Library of Tibetan Works and Archives or the Tibetan Library is located at a town called Gangchen Kyishong in the district of Dharamsala. The area, Gangchen Kyishong, is situated right in the middle of McLeodganj and the Kotwali Bazar. Tibet Museum The Tibet museum could be the place to learn and understand the history behind this region. One visit to the place would provide valuable information, and almost the entire history of Tibet and the important people associated with Tibet. Back to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
The excursion includes a drive through Kangra Valley, walk through small villages, picnic lunch at Tatta Pani (Hot Spring) swimming & river crossing and visit to Masroor Rock-cut Temple. We start after breakfast and after one and a half hour drive we reach a small village in Kangra Valley, from where we start walking through the village to reach Tatta Pani (Hot Spring). Lunch at Tatta Pani. From here we cross a small river to walk to the roadside where the jeep is waiting for us. Drive half an hour to visit Masrur Rock-cut Temple. Drive to back to McLeod Ganj passing through Kangra town.
Norbulingka Institute Norbulingka Institute is located at about 5 kilometers from McLeodganj and has a customary temple along with museum buildings, carved woodwork, rare and legendary paintings, etc. Norbulingka means “Jewel Garden” derived after the name of the summer residence of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. Namgyalma Stupa Namgyalma Stupa is a dome-shaped construction that contains the remains of Buddha, which the Tibetans consider to be a sacred place of worship. It holds a huge shrine of Sakyamuni Buddha. It is a daunting structure located in the heart of McLeodganj.
